Question HELP NEEDED?? Looking for Penny SLIDER card??

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am trying ?? to find a tutorial, video, etc...that I saw "someplace" and of course, can't find it or remember where I saved it...hahahaha

The card, when you opened it up, had a frog? ( I believe ) that would roll over (or turn upside down, etc!!) and they used two pennies (glued to the frog underneath) that made up the ?? mechanism ?? for it to do so.

I thought it was someplace in here?? If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm pressed for time and wanted to make this up for a little gal's birthday coming up SOON!!

Take care, cya...Jo

Hi, I don't have a picture to direct you to, but I've made the spinner cards before so I could describe it to you if that's ok. You need to have a matting piece (like a standard 4x5 1/4 paper) with a slit cut out of it however long as you want the object to spin. (I use the word window punch from SU and do it a few times across, overlapping them to get them straight. You could also use a craft knife, just making sure the opening is wide enough for your dimensionals, but skinnier than your pennies.) Then you take your image you want to spin and adhere a penny to the center of it (I use glue dots cause they're pretty strong). Then you stick a dimensional to the penny, put the image through the slot in your paper matting piece and stick another penny to the sticky side of the dimensional. (so you'll have your image, penny, dimensional, matting piece, then your other penny). Then in order for it to work right, you need to apply dimensionals to the back of your matting piece so that it will stick off of your card and allow for the spinner to clear the space between. Then you've got a spinner card. Hope this makes sense. Sorry for no picture. Hope this helps! Jessica

Smile Great Video Tutorial

There is a GREAT video tutorial at Stampin' Academy from Angie Kennedy Juda, you can look for it under owl spinner card. She does such a great job of showing every step to create some great projects.

If you cant find it under Stampin' Academy, just google Chic n' Scratch and then you can find a link to her Stampin' Academy website.

I hope that this can help someone.

(I can not include any web addresses yet, sorry for the inconvenience)

Default SPINNER CARD HELP..thanks!!

Thanks SO MUCH! I will check that out also. I did "TRY" last night to make
a "sample" with template, etc. and it took a couple tries to get the middle part ..(where the item spins across the card, etc) not TOO large, but not too small either...but I think it's gonna work??!!

One thing "I" also found was..my dimensionals that I have are a little larger than maybe other brands, and they would sometimes catch on the slider part?? and than i couldn't get the spinning action I'd seen on other cards..if that makes ANY sense whatsover?? hahahaha

I ended up on my 2nd attempt, cutting the dimensionals down just a TAD (before applying to pennies) and that seemed to help??

Gonna try making another one today now that I have my template all made up in advance. (Now if I just don't lose it..OR forget where I put it!) hahaha

Take care ALL and thanks for the help to this newbie!!

If you have a word window punch, it's the perfect width for the spinner. You are just limited as to how far up on the card the spinner can go.
