Help with Spellbinders
 

Can someone tell me how she was able to get the outer layer so close the the inner layer? All of my Spellbinders are like 1/4 inch apart and really looks like a big gap. On this card it looks liker there is only a tiny distance from the inner layer. Any help would be great. Thanks

I recently found this technique on stamptv.....maybe it would work for ya!

I'm a newbie to nestabilities and don't have all the sets I want yet, so I thought this was a cool option to still have a border to set the image off more.

I wasn't able to see the card to know exactly what type of border you are referring too but hope this will help. If not on your current project, maybe on a future one!

Gina's technique would certainly work.
What I do is trace around the outer edge of the die on the back of my matting layer and hand cut it.
But did you see that Spellbinders have just brought out some nesting dies for Labels 1 that are smaller than the original set, so that they will mat with narrow borders. Maybe they'll go that way with more of the labels!
If you don't mind using a few gems at strategic points, I have seen some stampers take the same size die, and cut it into half or quarters - then you can place it behind the image layer. Obviously there are little gaps where you've expanded the cut layer, hence the need for gems or something to cover it up. I'll see if I can find an example...
