Well, I imagine there are more than a few names for it, since it's been around for several years. Whatever the name, it sounds like you've pretty much got the idea already, lol!
Take a piece of folded felt and stamp your image with permanent ink. Before removing your stamp, it's a great idea to quickly draw a line around the block to help you get your stamp in the right position the next time.
Then just use your reinkers to color in your image on the felt. You don't have to be too exact...you don't get a perfect image every time, so no point stressing. Then all you need to do is use it, lol!
