Default Faux wood

I keep seeing these beautiful cards made with the faux wood technique, but have not been able to find the technique anywhere  ... Any suggestions? I did a card a while ago with my upline that did faux wood using one of the rustic DPs from SU (can't remember which one) and drawing marker lines/dots. BUt it looks like the other cards shown are doing a direct to paper technique, or something along those lines.
THanks in advance!

There are a couple of different ways to do this technique - one is called Milk Paint Technique from Technique Junkies (techniquejunkies.com or patstamps.com - a GREAT technique website/subscription) and here's another way also from SCS Challenges

The Milk Paint was a free tutorial on Pat Stamps, but I don't see it there anymore. Here is the link to when it was a scrapbooking challenge

Basically it's dtp with craft inks, one tone of the paper, and the other layer is vanilla. Add plank lines and nails with pen.

Dear Mary,
Thanks so much for those links! That is exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely try all the methods, but it looks I will just be adding another wheel to my collection!
THanks again!
