Talking Help me with post-it note acrylic frame instructions!

Hi!

I am turning to the experts for a probable DUH! answer...

I understand how to do the acrylic frame, stamp up a nice background for the insert, etc.....

But, how are you guys attaching the post-it note tablet so that it

1. Sticks well, but

2. The last "page" can be removed for adding a new tablet?

Thanks to you all for your replies - I'm planning on making these for the girls at work.

I made these using the extra sticky post it's and they were worse than the regular post it's. I use mono adhesive, then I turned to crystal effects. I didn't have any luck with either. I just keep sticking the regular post it's down all the time. I'm not any help at all, the only thing I can tell you is what not to use, but I would sure be interested if someone knows!

Thanks Barb - at least I don't feel like the answer is so obvious to everyone but me.

My thoughts would be to try a strong adhesive tape runner-type (like I have for scrapbooking) or even some clear dot adhesive & then just use Un-du to get the last page off when the post-it "tablet" is done?

I just thought if there was a typical way that other Splitcoasters were adhering them that seems to hold up OK - then I would use that too.

Oh, well - BTT

I tried using the "fun-tak", that stuff we used to hang posters on our walls so we wouldn't leave so many holes in the walls,LOL! So far so good. I have make eight of them for Christmas and keep checking them and they are holding. I put a dime size flat piece in the four corners of the post-it pads. I hope it keeps working.

Ooh that FunTak stuff sounds like the best solution. I used double stick tape and so far it's working, but with the FunTak, you could replace the pads when needed. TFS!!

I used the sticky back velcro tape so when the post it pad is used up you can put a new one on with a new piece of velcro.

Default Acrylic frame

I think I like that idea a LOT better than my Fun-tak. I think I might just have to re-do them. I sure don't want anyone's present falling apart in front of me. Thanks for the info.

Hello! I am having the same problem. I made ten of these for my co-workers and almost all the little post-it pads came off . I am going to try sanding the area where the sticky part goes to see if roughening up that area help to form a better bond with the post-it sticky.

I used the sitcky clear dots from Wal-Mart. They come on a roll in a box and they worked great. But, don't touch the dots with your fingers, b/c the oil from your hands makes it not want to stick as well. Just an idea.

Default post its

I tried putting mine on the acrylic sideways.....with the sticky on left or right. That seems to work for some odd reason.

So far, mine are sticking fine. I just took the bottom sheet off and then placed the note pad on the acrylic frame - it is holding with it's own sticky!!!

I'll be attaching mine with Sticky Strip. When it's time to change the post-it notes...just peel it off and do it again?

I've attached mine with carpet tape. If it's strong enough to hold a carpet for 20 years it's strong enough for post its. I haven't had any problem with them falling off. When it's time to change the post it pad I just put a new piece of carpet tape on the back.

I put my post-it pad on sideways and it made it from Regina to Edmonton in a box in our trunk without falling off.
