Default Wine glass lamp shade

I found pictures in the gallery of a wine glass lamp using vellum for the shade. Does anyone have the measurements and instructions on this project? I hate to waste materials coming up with a template and experimenting when someone already has the info.

Thanks.

There are different templates available online. This is one I found. I have others from my Parchment Craft patterns.

The easiest thing to do is to print the template out and layer it on a thick cardstock and use that as a template to trace around your vellum or other paper. I would not suggest printing the template directly on vellum as ink takes very long to dry on vellum and some don't even dry on vellum.

Thank you!!

I have a camp coming up and thought about making these for the event. However, I worried about the ink drying on the vellum in time for them to take them home.

Any suggestions?

It was a TLC coming up to Christmas last year - here's the link: Forums at Splitcoaststampers and there's a template in the first post.

Default votive lamps in wine glasses

Someone commissioned me to make 30 of these! I used embossed flowers, then cut them out, layered them after I colored them with watercolor pencils. Lots of work, but they were lovely when done. They were to be gifts for an elderly lady who wanted to thank all those wonderful ladies who would take her to shop, do errands for her, etc.
She had them come for tea, and presented each one with their gift!
I made the shades and she supplied the glasses and tea lites. I do hope they were enjoyed by all! I got 2 big bunches of flowers as 'payment'... (a gift certificate for Michaels, would have been nice...) Oh, I meant to say. instead of using d/s tape, I used 3 gold brads to hold them together, the idea being the heat from the candle might melt the glue over time.... they looked lovely and my sample is still good today!
