HELP Homemade bowmaker
I found a blog last week where a wood base was used with large finishing nails to make bows and now I can't find it. You could make several size bows and it was a great idea - any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about making one maybe you should consider just getting a Bow Easy. It is sure to take up less space, be easier and not have nails or screws sticking up from it!

For a small bow, check out these links. Bows are made with a fork.

I have Lee Conrey's Magic Bow Maker here, and love it:

I am totally laughing right now...I'm a double reed player and I have a madril holder for making reeds that totally looks like this. I'm so going to go dig it out and see if it works!

My Husband made the same, works like a train.,

I just got the Magic Bow Maker; $15, and it's as you desccribe but with wodden dowels instead of finishing nails. It's super easy to make a bow that looks great and is fun. It came from:
Stampingleeyours: Magic Bow Maker Her (Lee's) friend's blog shows a couple of pics. at: Recipe day & Bow Maker from Lee - Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne It's easy to learn and to use. Best wishes!! Sincerely, Donna |
My husband made me one by drilling some holes in a block of wood and cutting 2 pieces from a dowel rod to fit in the holes. It works great, and I can make bows from a teeny tiny size to a fairly large size.
