Help with Coaster Project
 

I am bulding a new addition and wanted to make some coasters for the bar. My son came up with a great idea of making some using the pictures we took during construction. I have the chipboard coasters (about a zillion of them) and I can also use the tiles from Home Depot or Menards. If I have photos how do I get them on the coasters and how do I seal them- and do I use stazon? Also- if I stamp images how do I seal them. I would love techniques for both types of coasters but beggers cant be choosers so any advice would be great. I know there was a link somewhere but for the life of me cannot find it. Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks so much! I cant wait to try these. Does anyone know if they will work without baking and with hot and cold drinks?

I use stazon to stamp the image on tile coasters and permanent markers to color them. I've also used the SU craft inks and a very light coating of a matte acrylic spray to seal the color but let the tile keep it's porousness. I back my coasters with think cork sheeting to help protect the surface of the counter, table or whatever. You need to use a good cement glue like E-6000 to adhere the cork to the tile.

Thanks for the info- I showed my hubby and he is thrilled to make them with us. Does anyone know how to make them with the chipoard cosaters?

has anyone tried Copics on tile? I thought they'd work well since I've used alcohol inks in tile but I'm not having much luck.
