Question Help with bottle caps...

I have seen lots of wonderful cards using bottle caps as embellisments and have some questions:

1. Do you use them up (with the top up like when it is on a bottle) or down (like a cap turned upside down)?

2. If you use them down, do you flatten them somehow?

3. Do you have a source to buy new caps, or do you wash used caps?

4. How do you adhere them?

Default bottle caps

You can use them either way (up or down) I like to use them with the flat side to the page and them decorate the inside and fill them with crystal effects or diamond glaze (or any like product). I flatten them a bit with a rubber mallet that I purchased at my local scrapbooking store. I also purchased blank bottle caps there (they also have some really cute 'pre-decorated' ones). I tried recycling a cooler bottle cap and it didn't work, when I tried to curl the edges over (what happens to the purchased ones from the scrapbook store when you partially flatten them with the mallet), they just flattened, and not in any way that looked nice. Hope that answers your questions! Have fun playing!
