Default belly band for nugget boxes

okay, so maybe this is a simple technique but could anyone tell me how to do a belly band or what you are using for a belly band? TIA Becky

This isnt a simple technique to me

I made some Oragami boxes with belly bands and the only way I could make a belly band to fit was to just cut the strip of cardstock and lay the box on it and wrap the cardstock strip around it and glue it together. I tried measuring and figuring but that was all too much for me! I even tried to measure it after I already folded it around the box and that didnt work!
I am belly band impaired;)

Honestly, I did all the measuring and everything but the thing that works best for me is just laying it over the tin and wrapping it around. And if I wrap layers, I do them each at a time rather than taping the layers together before I wrap.

I am a wrapper too! I just cut the size I wanted, wrapped it, folded and then taped.

I'm a precise kind of girl. I measured the tin to the nearest 1/8" and scored. I then taped the band together when I got it around.
