Have seen a technique using a cuttlebug folder and a thin wooden mask. What it ends up doing is leaving the center plain and the outside embossed of the card stock, ready for a stamped image..
I can't make it work in my cuttlebug .Perhaps I am not using correct plate layers.
Any ideas?
SusieB's website heartprints.net has tutorials for this but she uses something a little different. You will love her site and her great cards. She is absolutely amazing.....

Carol, could you point me exactly where these tutorials are on her site? I went there and browsed around but didn't see anything. TIA.
Have a look at this site, it is fabulous and you can learn so much! I love it. The page given below takes you directly to one of the tutorials, but if you go down the right hand column, it gives you a whole lot more to have a look at. Good luck!!
Ooops, I also meant to add this link to a "you tube" demonstration on double embossing which I found to be very informative and useful. Hope you like it
