Does anyone know what number the blade on the cricut should be set at? I usually only use card stock in the cricut because I find if I just use DSP it sticks too much to the mat and I can't pull it off without tearing it. Makes me want to give up on my cricut. Some card stock also sticks too firmly and literally divides mitself in half. Top layer comes off and bottom layer remains firmly on mat. Frustrated!!
I keep my blade setting at 6. (just too lazy to bother with changes settings). Your paper sticking could be a mat problem. Condition the mat by placing your hands or a clean Tshirt all over the mat to kind of tone down the sticky. If you have bits of paper stuck run the mat ove hoe tap water and use a little liquid soap and a nylon scrubber to gently remove those bits of paper. Let dry and voila you have your mat rejuvenated a bit.

*over hot water.....i should proofread better huh?
Southgirl....what fantastic advise on the mat. I tried it and was amazed how much better the cuts were. I've now started to do this after I'm completely finished with a project and I have a nice fresh mat for the next project! Thank you so much!
I took a class with my machine. She had us set it at 3, saves the blade and the mat. If you're using regular card stock, it should do the trick. I haven't had any issues with mine at this setting; I have the E2. Good luck.
