Question old "embossed grid squares" technique

Hi I am looking for a really old technique.
it is a grid squares that are embossed with thick emboss
I can't remember exactly how to do the squares and get them embossed
I know it sounds very simple but I would like those instructions although they are so old I don't think I can ever find it anymore
don't know how to attach a picture and not a link?? I only see URL link, where is the attachment?

You can get grid stamps like the one I used in this card - I stamped and heat embossed the grid stamp in white:

Did you mean heat embossed or dry embossed?

Dry-You can take a ruler and a stylus and just run the lines every X distance you want. You have the choice if you want the side with the valleys like grout or the mountains. If you put it over a soft surface like a mouse pad or embossing pad and are careful with repeat passes your squares could be higher. If you wanted it shiny, you can hit the whole thing with your embossing ink pad and dip it in clear EP.

This is an old way with using thick EP like Utee. The card is poor but you can see the effect.

This is a double stencil way. You lay down a grid stencil. Lay a second one with the image. Ink the image. Lift that stencil and then pounce with embossing ink in the grid one. Lift the gird stencil and use the Utee.

Thanks. I made it a long time ago. One of the first things I learned to do-like most, heat embossing was my "gateway drug"....I like the tile fine. I hate the rest of it. LOL. It is a lot of fun to do although a little fiddly. I still cant do wide borders nicely.
