I want "something" to hold only 6 cards & envies - cards are 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. I see tons of boxes, purses, folios, etc here, but in your opinion, which would be the best "fit"? Thanks for your opinions
My go-to for this is a 6 card and envy holder that was posted 2 years ago by Cindy Lyles (StarLitStudio). I can't find the thread (easily), and I 've spent 30 minutes looking. Attached is a Word doc I made with the directions and template on it, and below are links to my gallery with the sets I made 2 Christmases ago for teachers:

Hi! www.clearbags.com also has lots of different envelopes and containers you can look through - I just got some nice acrylic boxes that have stretchy clear elastics to hold them closed - that's where I buy all my card envelopes too - the more you buy the cheaper per item cost

Hi.......My vote is to make the boxes yourself. It's the finishing touch to the entire project. Store bought just doesn't cut it (in my opinion). You could make the box as simple as making an envelope with a bottom to it (I think it's called a gusset). Make the envelope out of the heaviest cardstock you can find that matches your cards and envelopes. Remember to allow extra space for the envelopes which would be approximately a 1/4 inch larger L and W. You could tie the box/envelope closed with a satin ribbon to coordinate or make a die cut of one of the simplier designs from the cards.
There are lots of simple templates on the internet and also many manufacturers that have plastic templates for both envelopes and boxes. EK Success has a system that makes any kind of envelope or box with simple adjustments. Cost is about $30, but well worth it. Also simple Colluzzle templates are available in a range of prices.
If you just want to make a quick pouch, you can use the clear Stampin' Up cello bags and stamp a nice matching cardstock topper for it: fold a piece of cardstock in half the same width of the bag and staple it on. Make it fancier with dimemsional punched stamps and ribbons. Quick and easy.
May just have to do that as I am currently having major problems with my hand and find it very hard to score & fold. Was disappointed as I wanted to make Cindy's pouch, but the bag idea will work nice too. Thanks everyone for your great ideas, appreciate it.

Wow, funny you should ask! I was at AC Moore last night with some girlfriends and one of them made a set of cards for her niece and she was looking for a box to hold them for a gift. She bought a rectangle cheesebox, you know the very thin wood ones, for $2. She is going to cover it with matching paper, then she bought an inexpensive small monogram letter to paint and glue on the top! It was so pretty unpainted I can't wait to see how it comes out! Also while I was there in the next isle they had small wood boxes that kinda looked like die cut paper bags that were flat, about 41/2" wide by5"high and 2" deep. I bought a couple for card gifts and they were only a dollar! I hope it helps.
I make a simple holder using a 6x6 page protector (cut off the holes) and mount it on a 6 1/4 x 11 sheet of card stock that has been scored to make a flap... use sticky strip or tacky tape or ATG gun to adhere, putting a coordinating stamped sheet or designer paper inside to "hide" the adhesive... I have held 5 or 6 cards and envies in one of these... lots of ways to embellish and/or close... cheap and VERY easy, and reuse-able... even after the cards are gone!
Hope this helps... I will see if I can find a sample. I just gave mine away! I usually do this with a class as a way to make a coordinating set of cards and holder from a one-sheet-wonder... VERY little cutting, measuring, folding and adhering... and nice "bang for the buck" to boot!

I just thought I would let you know that www.clearbags.com is in California
BUT www.clearbags.ca is in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada I have been there several times and that is where I get my sleeves to hold individual cards when I sell them. They also have clear boxes, envelopes etc. LOTS of stuff!! This link will take you right to the clear boxes.....hope this helps http://www.clearbags.ca/products.php...0Clear%20Boxes
trulyblessed.......From reading the site, it appears that you must order by telephone or e-mail. Then they would give you the pricing. Seems kinda strange that way, but......
If you look at the US site, perhaps the pricing on that site would give you some idea of what it might cost you.
For the US site, I don't think their prices are bad even for ordering in small quantity. I would order individually, in my case.
Thanks, I will call. I did order some clear boxes from a blog and got them in time to send my cards, but it's nice to find Canadian supply sites for future.
