Default Scallop edges in new 2008 SU catalog

This is my first post, so I don't really know what I am doing but I do have a technique questions.

I have received the new SU catalog. I really like the use of straight line scalloped edges; for example pages: cover, pg 7, 42, 55,56,57, 68, and many other examples. I believe they probably used several different techniques but I don't see much for tools available in the catalog. I do see the embossing templates and circle punches. I am wondering if other tools were used to achieve the results.

Thank you very much for the information.

This is a great tutorial by Beate to make a scalloped edge.

You can do it with the corner rounder like Beate's tutorial. SU also notes you can stick circles on the back side for the scallop edge.

Never thought of the idea of using circles on the backside to create a scallopped edge!! That is versatile as the other way of creating scallops can be length limiting for the particular panel - if you know what I mean!

It may take a little longer, but it only requires a spool of thread. The Aug/Sept Memory Makers Magazine showed the scalloped edges made by using a spool of thread and tracing around the spool's bottom edge on the edge of your paper to the depth you prefer. Hope this helps!

There is also a new stamp set with scalloped edges that you can stamp and cut around.
