Inking CB Embossing Folders?
I've seen this mentioned several times now in different threads. How is it done? Does one rub the stamp pad along the inside of the embossing folder or does one brayer it?
Is there a tutorial somewhere?
Thanks in advance!

Don't know about a tutorial, but I use a brayer....gives better coverage and no lines from the stamp pads. HTH

Ok, so you actually ink the inside of the embossing folder before you put the cardstock in? Thanks! Will try that.

I only ink one side....the side that will be the embossed image. I've also done it with the texture plates (Fiskars, not SU's). Works great!

Thanks! This is something I would never have thought to do in a million years. I love the creativity I find on SCS!

Yep, I just use the ink pad and rub it all over the side of the folder that does NOT have raised areas. After running through the Cuttlebug, just take the folder to a sink and the ink rinses right off with water.

Here is a link to all things Cuttlebug. In the 1st post you can see there a great link on how to sandwich texture plate and others.

Some folders work better than others. If at first it doesn't work well - try another folder. Just my 2 cents worth of advice

I'm glad you said this, I was going to say I haven't had much luck with this (at least, it works, but it isn't evenly colored)
