Default Faux Eyelets

I read a recent post where someone used the three tiny circles from Simple Shapes and a 1/16" punch to create the look of eyelets. I thought that was such a creative idea!

Well...cut to today...I was punching out all of the tags from my three tag sheets I received at regionals last week and had a neat idea. I NEVER use the little circles that are on the tag sheets. But today, I cut out around a bunch of them to stick in the box with my tags and decided to try to turn these into faux eyelets. I used confetti white. Before they were punched off the tag sheet, I put versamark directly on the circles. (I did 5 of them just to see if it would work.) Then I put clear EP and heated. I did the versamark and clear EP three times total and punched out (in an upward motion) the circles and glued them to my page. Then I used my 1/8" punch to punch out the inner circle. It really turned out pretty cool. Now I have a way to use those blasted circles from the tag sheets!

Hope this inspires you to think outside the (tag) box!!

Have a great weekend!
Merrie
