Flat bows

I see lots of beautiful bows on your cards that are "bows" but the tails lay flat under it and tucked under edges of card. Mine just don't lay flat...why??? Also, I am even having trouble figureing out how to thread them through the hodge podge hardware to make a nice flat bow! Ug.

I know there is more than one way to skin this cat. You folks are a wealth of info...C'mon help us out.

The only one I can think of (and it doesn't exactly sound like the one you are looking for...but) use the ribbon punch ( 2 slots) and punch where you want your bow. Cut your ribbon 1 1/2 times as long as you want it. Thread each end into a slot from the front and center your ribbon. Turn card over and gently fold the left piece back away from the slot (to the right)and slide the right piece into that slot, pull thru to front. Repeat with the right piece into the left slot. Smooth it out and trim your ends. It lays flat and I think looks pretty cool. Hope these directions are clear. HTH.

Hugs & blessings

There is a thread today about the no-tie bow - maybe that is what you are looking for... Also here is a thread with tons of ways to use ribbon on a card - not sure if there are instructions though. And then if you need help with tying a knot, see the tip sheet thread in my signature. There is also a link in that thread with my tip sheet that has instructions for tying a Tiffany bow.

Not sure any of these answer your question, but hope they help!
