Default acetate and tissue paper technique guestion

I know that I will not get an answer today because it is Christmas day, but I am here because we have to postpone our celebration because of illness in the family.
I just read and printed the tutorial about acetate and tissue paper stamping.
I am sitting here trying it and when I put my tissue paper over the glue, it does not look like the picture in the tutorial. Could it be that my tissue paper is too thick? The tissue used in the tutorial looks so thin and the image comes right through. Also, this is probably a stupid question, but, when the project is finished drying and ready to use, is it the acetate side that is used, or the tissue paper side? I really cannot tell from the pictures in the gallery.
Judging from my two that I have just tried, I cannot see anything with the tissue side. Am I really doing something wrong?
Thanks for any response that I can get.

Default Wanna help you with Christmas !

HI There,

I've no idea on what you are doing wrong with the tissue and acetate technique, but when I tried it, I Stamped with Stazon on the Acetate, turned it over, put diamond glaze or white glue on the acetate, reinkers on top of that. Used my finger to mix it a little and the crumpled up the tissue paper and stretched it. Put it on the glue and tapped it a little.
When dry, I used the acetate side as the front.

Hope this helps, I'm new here and from the Netherlands LOL
Good luck !

Renate.

Default Thanks Renate

Thank you Renate for your message. It does help alot.
I have to laugh at myself...my first one that I tried, when it came to the part of the instructions that said this is the time to put some glitter on if wanted,
I put glitter on alright. I literally covered the whole glued side with glitter and guess what, there was no glue left exposed to put the tissue on. It is still usable on something, and quite pretty, but not quite the effect I was going for.

Do they do alot of stamping in the Netherlands?

Thanks again,
Evalou
