directions for "feathered edges"

I keep seeing cards made with featherd looking edges on them. For example, Sereikastamper did a card called "Blossom Pocket" and the edges were done using a feathering type technique. I would love to have the instructions for this technique!

I found some pocket cards sereikastamper did, and it looks to me like she sponged the edges of the card with ink. To do this, you use a sponge (check out the SU! Catalog-pg. 224), dab it onto your ink pad, then "brush" it along the edge of your cardstock--go perpendicular to the cut edge, not along it. Make sense?

If you want to know for sure how it was done, PM sereikastamper and ask her--that's the best way to get the info...

ps-FYI: when I get the sponges like in the catty, I cut them into quarters so they go farther and are easier to work with...
