Faux rust technique needed

Hi,
I am looking for the faux rust technique for paper. Does anyone know how to do this?

Don't know if you mean the faux rusty metal technique, but that one you can find on: www.rubberroadadventures.com, search under stamping techniques.
Hope this is the one you're looking for.

I don't know if there's an 'official' way of faux rusting but maybe you can try DTP versamarking and then adding some rusty orange colored EP. don't heat it all the way to shiny, just enough to make it stay on. I love watching EP turn glossy but have had it melt just enough to stick plenty of times. good luck!

One way to do a faux rust technique would be to DTP with a copper pigment ink. Allow to dry or use heat tool. Then use a sea sponge loaded with a teal/aquamarine ink and dab on top of the copper ink. Do it sparingly and you'll have a lovely verdigris finish.

Other rust finishes could be accomplished by dabbing red and rust colored inks over a black background, again, using the sea spong of flat brush. Allow some of the black to show through the inks.

Here's a card that has a rusty background, she also describes how she did it. Hope that helps :D
