Default Punch Windows

So I know there's a way to use the 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" square punches to make a window with a contrasting border around it.

My question is....um...how?

Punch 2 complimentary colors of cardstock, one with the larger punch and one with the smaller punch. Layer the cardstock with the smaller square BEHIND the cardstock with the larger square to get the layered look. When punching the smaller square, I generally just use a scrap, and for the larger punch I use almost a full piece, just trim it down enough to layer onto a full card. HTH!

Here's a picture of one that I did recently using the glitter window technique...

I take my smaller square & punch it in the color I want the frame. Then I turn the larger square punch over so you see the bottom & place the paper with the square already punched within that "window". Make sure it's even all around & then punch it out.
Now, when you want a window in the card, with the frame, just punch the smaller window in your card, then glue the "frame" over top. This is great with the packing tape glitter window. You can make 2 frames, for the outside & inside to hide your tape edges. :o)
I think this is what you were asking anyway. LOL
