Default Measurements for small box w/lid

I saw the cutest box at Convention and I'd love to make one. It was a small square box - 3 or 4 inches square and a couple of inches high. It had a removable lid of a different colored cardstock. Does anyone have the dimensions for a box like this?

You can make it any size you'd like. If you want the box bottom to be 3" square with 2" sides, you need to start with an 7" square piece of cardstock. Score all 4 sides at 2" and cut in on two opposite sides to the score mark (4 times in total). To make the lid of the box, start with a square of cardstock that is 1/16" larger than the base (7-1/16" for this example), but still score it at the same measurement (in this case 2"). Also cut the sides as described above.

Your best bet is to assmeble to box with sticky strip.

Does that help???

Yep, that's fabulous! I even figure out how to make just a small lid for it instead of the full sized one. Thanks so much for sharing!
