12-15 Uh oh, clip board question...what should I do now?

Hi all,
I painted clip board with acrylic, then TAPED down patterned paper and ribbon on parts of it. I didn't use modge podge to glue the paper on the clip board and I don't know if I can use it to seal it now.
Will it bubble if I JUST seal it with modge podge and don't have modge podge between the actual clipboard and paper (just double-sided tape)?
If it will bubble, what else can I do to seal it? I'm giving this to my son's teacher as a gift and hopefully she'll be able to use it.
Thanks!

I have a frame that I painted with acrylic paint and then glued patterned paper squares on it and I sealed it with Mod Podge but didn't use Mod Podge as the glue and it worked fine. To be honest I've never been able to get Mod Podge to work well as a glue. My frame is fiber board. I hope this helps.

Yes, thanks so much! I actually did a test run on a spare clip board and it worked fine. Heidi
