Embossing on glue dots
Hi!
Does anyone remember what they taught us at convention about the glue dots. The only thing I can reproduce is using the large dots with white ep and then stamping on top of them. Was there other tech. done with them. I thought I saw embossing on the little ones with craft ink and clear? If that's true... how the heck do you do that? I've been workin' and workin'... can't figure it out!! Thanks so much! |
Hi, Christe.......not that I wanted to hi-jack your thread (since I don't know your answer) but did you see that there will be a Portland SCS gathering in October to compliment convention? Here is the link.

I found this information at littlebit.com:
Use 3-D Zots or Glue Dots as Page Pebbles You can create your own raised pebbles with pop-up glue and clear embossing powder - here's how: Stamp a word with small letter stamps and cover each letter with a pop-up glue dot. Pour clear embossing powder over the dots, ensuring you cover them thoroughly. Shake off the excess powder and melt it with a heat gun. |
I *love* these ideas!

I tried using the Zots with clear ep on, then heat, but it just gets liquid hot and melted, still stays sticky. Am I doing something wrong?

I've got the same question! :)

Glue dots & more
O.K., I did the embossing on the large glue dots, just pour powder on and heat. I also made them glitter with pouring the diamonds on them and it sticks. pour embossing powder on sticky strip and heat it makes faux foil. You can por the diamonds on the small dots too for centers of flowers and such. that's what I have tried so far, hope it helps. :)
