Default Water coloring with Staz On

I was wondering if you can water color with Staz On ink? I want to make tile coasters as Christmas gifts and want to use a water coloring technique to make my tiles more detailed. Didn't know if anyone has used Staz On ink to do this or do I need to use the Craft Ink Pads that SU sells?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I've always been told that Stazon is the only ink to use for watercoloring.

Yes, just stamp with your Staz On and then use your water colour pencils to colour. I've done a few cards like this and they look great. Remember to wait until the area you've just cololured is dry before you colour an area next to it because the colours can run into eachother

are you wanting to use the StazOn as a water color medium, or and the stamped outline for your watercoloring? I just read a day or two ago that someone used their blender pen to color with the StazOn, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I'm not sure what the solvent used in StazOn is, but if you figured that out (i.e. turpenoid, acetone, etc.) you could use that on a paintbrush to pick up the ink...I used to use that technique when I was in arch. school to blend markers. HTH! Let me know if you try it, and how it works ;)
