Default Embossing folder

I watched a video on my cellphone and they were showing how to use an embossing folder and a black block, not sure what the block was made of. They were pressing the embossing into this block to make a stamp. Once that was done you could spritz the block with water and heat it and the block would go back to normal without the image. I wanted to find out what kind of block it was and have not been successful finding the video. Are you familiar with this technique and if so, can you give me more information on it

Thanks

You can have Ranger let you know when it's available: https://rangerink.com/products/simon...32206101839990

What's old is new again. I remember using that stuff way back when I first started stamping (almost 20 years ago). I see he's doing what Tim Holtz does, and re-inventing the wheel. You see, folks? If we hang on to stuff long enough, it becomes popular again. I gave that foam away a long time ago, and I have no intentions of buying it again. I'm sure lots of people will, though, because it's new to them.

I get a playback error on the video but assuming it’s a heat moldable foam, as Scrapjanny says, the idea is far from new. I remember trying it with craft foam (fun foam) way back when - that works! If you have any, the double thickness foam probably gives you the best chance of a good embossed impression.

here is another try on the video- It's Simon Hurley showing the uses and ways of using his new stamping foam, which he says is a remake of the old

I do not think it is available anywhere. I added my name to the Ranger sight to be notified, but not too confident it will be available. I have also looked for other brands but with no luck, because all that I know is it is a soft moldable rubber. Thanks for your response.

Currently out of stock on Scrapbook.com, although I hit the button to be notified when it comes in. It's pretty popular from what I've seen people post. Simon Hurley has an instagram that shows the many ways to use it.

I'm going to try to imbed a link to a YouTube video--update--tested the link...it works!
