Embossing acetate

Hi all,
I thought I would try my hand at an acetate card, and me being me, can't possibly start simple........ Tried to emboss on my acetate and found it kind of warped......is there a certain weight acetate I should use (mine is pretty heavy), or???? Loved to hear from anyone who has done this successfully!

Thanks

I haven't tried it but I imagine that the acetate designed to go through laser printers or photocopiers is going to give better results as it's designed to withstand higher temperatures.

I did an acetate tag at Archivers that we embossed. Mine curled but the lady after me had better luck. She started warming the EP more slowly. After the top layer melted she moved the heat toll down to finish and did not curl.

I made the glass ornaments with the acetate insert for Christmas and the first couple I embossed warped a LOT but then I took applied the heat REALLY s-l-o-w-ly and at a distance and none of the rest of them warped. Patience is the key!!
