Question Help! Christmas Tree Sented Scratch and Sniff

My MIL is interested in doing a Scratch and Sniff workshop, which I can do no problem. Christmas tree stamp, no problem. I have absolutely no idea what to mix with the EP to do a pine or evergreen sent. Can you use oils or liquid sents with EP? I'm almost afraid to try. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Karena Doto

Ranger has a line of vintage inks that are scented... but I am not sure if the scent stays once dry...
sorry.. that's about all I can add...

I don't know if I'd add some kind of oil or liquid, but Cornish Heritage has a deliciously scented embossing powder here. We used it on my sister-in-laws Christmas cards last year. . . so perfect for holiday cards!

I've seen others on here (sorry I don't have any pictures) that have put used dryer sheets over the card. It gives it a pretty frosted look and it makes it smell nice.

The scent lasts about three weeks.

Way late but I just found this:

Supplies:
rubber stamp of your choice
small soft bristled paintbrush (the cheap ones used for kids watercolors work well)
essential oil
embossing powder
heat tool
**glossy cardstock to stamp on

Here's how it works:
Dip the paintbrush into an essential oil of your choice. "Paint" the raised area of the stamp with the oil making sure to coat all of the areas of the stamp that would normally pick up ink.
Some suggestions are peppermint oil for candycane stamps, pine oil for wreath stamps, lavender oil for flowered designs, or coconut oil for a tropical themed card.

Prepare your embossing powder. You will need to put the embossing powder onto the stamped area IMMEDIATELY after stamping as the oil dries very quickly.

Stamp onto a glossy finish surface with one hand, lift stamp, and immediately pour embossing powder over the stamped area with the other hand.

Lightly shake/tap the excess embossing powder off.

Go over the area with the heat gun until the embossing process is complete.

**Note- A glossy finished paper/stock must be used for this project. Because you are stamping with an oil instead of an ink, you need a surface for the oil to sit on top of. If you use a matte paper, the oil will soak into the card and your embossing powder will not stick.
