Emboss Resist
I was strolling thru the gallery tonight, and came upon a term I really do not understand: EMBOSS RESIST. Could someone please tell me (in really plain English -- newbie to stampin here) what EMBOSS RESIST means and how you do it?
Thanks! Arlene |
Emboss Resist
Hi,
You simply emboss an image with clear embossing powder. Once that is cool, you can add color using your inkpads to the paper. The embossed areas will resist the ink and the rest of the paper will pick up the ink color (you can wipe the top of the embossed areas, after applying inks) to enhance the effect) Hope this helps Poorva |
Yes thank you! Now that makes sense and when I re-looked at the card I can understand how it was created. Tomorrow I will try to do one myself!!! woohooo playing again.

Poorva,
Your directions were superb! Now this artist needs to refine the technique but I am very pleased with my first attempt. Thanks for your help.... |
Very good for the first time! Much better than my first attempt. Emboss resist is my favorite technique.
|
One thing to remember with this technique -- DO NOT use tinted embossing ink unless you want that color to be a permanent part of your card design!

Thanks for the compliment and the advice ladies. Shows you how much I know....lol... I thought Versamark was only in clear...
