Default Help! I want to make a trifold card

Does anyone know where I can find the instructions for the simple trifold card (not the triangle one -- I guess that's what the other one is called). Here's a link to a photo of one I found:

Mary.....I can't see that it would be very difficult to create it yourself. Just start with 12x12 cardstock paper and take a ruler for drawing the diagonal. I would make the largest end 5.5 inches high and the smallest 3 inches high. Then just draw the cutting line from each measurement for the top of the card. Bottom would be the bottom the paper naturally. Fold in thirds.....4 inches each and make your card. For the panels inside just make about a 1/4 inch shorter.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for or want an actual template, but it may be a start for you.

I think it's a neat style card for something different.

Default trifold card

Thanks. I think I was a little confused because the sample I saw was made with 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, and I couldn't quite figure out how they did it with that. I assumed it must be 12 x 12, so that's where part of the confusion came in.

Default trifold card

Actually, I was thinking of a different kind of trifold card that's more like a zig zag or a "z".

Mary, here are the instructions I used to make the card in your initial post. These are from emmiestamps. I CASEd one of her cards.

"To make this card I marked one long end at 3" and the other side at 5.5", lined up the marks in the cutter and cut. So you would actually be cutting on a diagonal. Then I scored at 4.25" from the tall side, and scored again at 3.75" from the first score line not from the end. Then I used a piece of scrunched up plastic and Mellow Moss ink to sponge on the back ground color. Stamped the blossom and leave images, mounted on card stock and added ribbon!"

For the smaller white piece, I just trimmed off 1/4" on each side, stamped the design, and taped it to the large piece. Make sense?

If you go to Resources up on he top and put in the search window Trifold, it'll come up with two tutorials. Maybe seeing it in the tutorial makes it a little easier for you and you can adjust the size to what you want.
The card that you linked looks like it is a 12x12 cut down to a 4x12 strip and than folded @ 4" and 8". The first score is made on the front than flip the paper over and scored again at 4 ". The second strip of paper is just cut slightly smaller (1/4" or so) all the way around and attached to the first one.
