Dying Easter Eggs?

Has anyone dyed eggs using re-inkers? I'm thinking of trying it (since I can't find the right color dye or food coloring.) Not sure if I should mix the re-inkers with vinegar or water tho?? Guess I could try and experiment.

I've never tried it. If you do, let us know how it goes!

I think the vinegar will enhance and keep color bright...but not straight vinegar, cpl tbsp in water....adding a cpl 'drops' of veg oil, will make a really neat design, like tye-dye, swirls.... White Crayola crayon too, for resist effects! good luck & Have fun!!;)

I surely wouldn't eat them! I like to get the cake decorating color consentated food coloring, then use vinegar with them. They make beautiful vibrant colors.

No, I won't be eating them. I've already hollowed out the eggs. :)

How do you hollow eggs???

I FOUND IT! Posted by Cherina :

3T Vinegar, 1/2 cup water, about 15 drops re-inkers, or to desired color. For added fun, once the egg has been soaking for a bit, add a few more drops of re-inker for a tye-dye effect.

I'm gonna try it this weekend!!
