dull effect with brayering

i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to stop the ink from going dull on glossy paper when using braying. the colour is so bright when wet but as it dries it seems to go so dull. any ideas are welcome. thank you. narelle

Hi, It's been awhile since I've done this, but one thing you can try is buffing your piece with a paper towel after you brayer. I think that will shine it up. Something else, is to use craft, or pigment, ink and clear emboss it.

If you decide to buff it with a paper towel I prefer to use Viva because it is soft and virtually lint-free. It's a bit pricy but I only use it for crafts so one roll last a long time.

Also, make sure that you are using glossy paper, and not photo paper. Photo paper will leave a dull finish.
