dry embossing on dark CS
 

How do you dry emboss on dark colored CS? Am I just not figuring this out???? Thanks!

Start by running wax paper over your cardstock.
Position cardstock over your template.
Use the big embossor and just rub over your template until you "see" where the image is that you would like to dry emboss. Now trace the edge of it.

Ahhh....didn't realize that the wax paper would help! I was doing it this way (except for the wax paper)....but kept tracing off of the stencil and it would look horrible. Thanks!

You can also use the back of a spoon to get the outline to show through (after using the wax paper), that will give you a guide for the embossing without the worry of running of the edge. HTH!
