Drilling a candle???

Sorry if this has been addressed in another post, I have searched and cannot find it. I have heard that instead of burning the stamped candles you can drill a space for a tea light to sit in. How exactly is this done? What type of drill bit is used? I know you have to use the tea lights with the plastic holder, but I'm not sure how to make the space for the tea light to begin with. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

This is a good question - I've wondered myself 'cause I would hate to burn off the design someone worked so hard to place there!

I received a gorgeous stamped candle from a demo friend in the US- and she just included a tea light and a small note- once the candle is burnt down enough- you can use the tea light inside it. Then you don't loose the design.
But if someone knows about the drill bit info- that would be neat too.

I just saw this in the Dec. Papercrafts magazine. I saw it in the store, and they had the most beautiful candle in there with Roses in Winter. I didn't buy the magazine, but they gave directions on how to drill the candle to hold a tealight. VERY pretty! I wish I had written down the specific instructions.
Does anyone have the Dec. Papercrafts? Maybe we should post that in a new thread..........

I have the Dec/Jan Papercrafts mag and have been through it 3 times and cannot find it, if someone sees it in there and gives the page number it would be MUCH appreciated, THANKS!

Just burn the candle down for a bit and the tea light will fit in.

Anyone see the instructions in the magazine yet?! Thanks!

The drill information is in the general stamping talk - posted by Labullard recently. It requires a special kind of drill and is a little messy but sounds very effective --

I have the issue too. Let me know if you would like me to find it and post it.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page and you will see a link to "Can you actually use a stamped candle?"
The answer is there!

The Roses In Winter candle is actually in PaperWorks, Dec, page 58. There is a matching covered match box. Very pretty.
