Default I don't think this is 'kissing' - what is it?

I have the "pattern of friendship" stamps and am trying to figure out how so many people have gotten the dresses to have a pattern on them, for example:

Always In Style by RagDoll4You at Splitcoaststampers

This isn't kissing, because the dress part of the stamp isn't solid. Can anyone tell me?

Stamp the girls on a patterned piece of paper, cut only the dresses out and then attach them to your solid paper ( the white or off white)... it is fun! And the dresses look so cute!

You can also just cut out the part where the patterned paper will show through and then layer it over the paper. Remberer cut inside the line which ever technique you use.
