Double Embossing with cuttlebug and nestabilities

I just wanted to share with everyone that I have posted a video tutorial on my blog that will show you how to achieve an empty space for stamping on your embossed card...I have also added a technique to emboss that empty space to make it more defined. please take a look and post a comment I would like to know what you think.

visit my cuttlebug blog... link on my siggy.

Very nice, can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing

That looks great - thanks for sharing it. :D

One quick question - I don't have a CB or have ever even seen one but I noticed it seemed you had to put a fair bit of grunt into rolling the plates through. Is it hard or did i get the wrong impression from your video?

This technique is great!! I wondered if there are any printed directions?
It would be great to have the printed sandwiches to help when doing this technique!!

no its not very hard.. I had to sit down and do it on my dining room table.. DH had to video since my tripod was not cooperating.... the feet did not stick on the mat I have on my table... but normally its easier. ... thanks for the question

That was a fun tut! Thanks for sharing.

You don't HAVE to purchase chipboard.....just use a box from cereal or crackers. It is about the same thickness and it is free!

You can do the same using a BigShot (which is what I have). It will not rock and is very stable without having to suction to the table.

I also thought that you were supposed to always have your cutting part of the nesties facing up. Does it really make any difference?

Great tutorial...great instructions....looking forward to trying it.

I was also interested in hearing that the nesties can be used facing in different directions.

thanks...

I just tried this, and I love how it turned out. I used cereal boxes instead of chipboard and it worked great. I showed DH and he was really impressed. I plan on cutting cereal boxes with the largest scalloped shape from each of my sets of nesties and keeping them for future use. Thank you so much for sharing and giving us another use for the nesties and embossing folders.

I just wanted to take a minute and express a “Thank-you” for your website and the videos are great. I will take away not just the idea of how to use the CB but also the tip on adding the recipe to my plates for easy access.

Please keep up the great work and thanks again.

I too, would like to see if you have written directions of your sandwiches as well.

Great idea! TFS! Love the stuff on your blog too! What inspiration!

Nilda, awesome videos! Out of everything thing I've ever purchased I'd have to say that my Cuttlebug is my favorite thing. I love how portable it is and how it's capable of turning a tiny piece of card stock into a work of art with little or no effort.

Thanks for the videos as well as your eagerness to help anyone that asks for it. I love ALL of your blogs:-)

does anyone know how I can submit this technique for a step by step tutorial here on splitcoast so that everyone can see it and print it out?

smallcity 07-26-2009 08:07 AM
