Red face Need Help With Altered Canvas...

Hello all, I have seen several amazing altered canvas' on SCS but I can't seem to find any instructions on what to use to adhere the pictures or if I need to coat it with anything once I'm finished. I would love to try this but would like some guidance. Does anyone know where to go to find this sort of information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

My SIL mounted cs on stretched artist canvas. She just used spray glue, no covering. My other sister was sure it needed Mod Podge tho. So far so good, but only a few months on the wall!

I didn't use Mod podge on mine. I did use glue dots to adhere the photo's and had to put a few extra on to hold in place. I also did it in stages to allow for drying time...I let it dry for a day or so after inking and painting before applying the rub on.

Thanks Cheryl, I loved your canvas. How did you pop the one picture out?

To pop the picture I stacked two large 3d squares on top of each other and placed on the four corners and then some in the middle of the picture and in between the ones on the corners. I put at least 10-12 of these on the back to give lots of support. It is actually a 5x7 thin canvas board that I covered so I was worried it would fall off the main canvas. The next time I make one of these I will use cardboard as it would be lighter.
Here is a web site for you to visit just click on the 'ideas' section there aren't really any instructions with the pictures but lots of inspiration!
