Cuttle bug emossing folder file size?

Can any one tell me is the embossing folder made for 4 x 5 1/4 because the snowflake folder I really can't get it to fit the 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 size. Maybe its for the first layer after the half fold card base. Hope you can understand what I mean. Thanks for helping me with this if anyone understands what I mean. Laurie

I think they're for the layer on the folded card. I have to trim all mine too.
