I have never done this, and will be doing this project tomorrow. I am hoping to get tips and advice from those of you have already stamped on memo cubes.
How do you hold them in place so they don't shift while you stamp them?
Are certain types of stamps better than others?
Any tips you can share will be MOST appreciated!! Alicia

You need to hold them tightly in place while stamping so you get a really clear image. The best way to do this is to put a tight rubber band around the opposite side you are stamping then switch to the other side. HTH
This are fun to do and make great gifts. They turn out so cute. Have Fun!
Wow, awesome tip!
Do you use the heavy thick rubber bands, or the skinny ones? I know, dumb question, but I don't want to ruin one while I'm practicing!
Thanks...
Alicia
Who woulda thunk? I have a memo cube on back order. It is going to be a gift for someone. I'm glad you posted this question, and I'm glad the tips were posted, too! Thanks for the advice!

I stopped using rubberbands because I was always worried I ruin/rip the upper papers/edges of the cube. I am a righty. So I hold the cube snuggly closed while it sits on the table with my left hand and stamp with my right hand. If the padded side is stampable (it is on some cubes), stamp that side last as it takes the ink longer to dry and can smudge if you are moving the cube around. I have only ever used dye ink on the padded side.
Cubes are great fun to stamp and always just look wonderful when they are done!
I find it also helps to plan the design by stamping on a 3" x 3" piece of paper first. Then I know exactly what I want to do and how it will look. I can make changes before I stamp the cube.

I always use the rubber bands around my cubes. I sacrifice the top piece of paper when I'm done. I have made these and stamped the edges with a large butterfly (Wonderful Wings or Stippled Butterfly) using the Celebration Spectrum pad. They are HUGE hits!
