Diaper Fold

How do you do the diaper fold that was shown at regionals in Memphis? I want to make something similar to that for my stamp camp this weekend and I can't remember the dimensions or instructions. Thanks!

I would also like to know! We tried to reproduce it at our upline mtg, and failed miserably

Thanks for the directions. My sister and I were going to do that for our class on Sat. and were going to spend Friday figuring it out. So thanks for saving us some time and giving us more time for stampin'.

How?

How was this technique used at regionals? It looks cool...but not sure what to do with it after it's folded....

Diaper fold

I would love to see some pictures of cards using this folding technique too.

Here's a link to one I did. I filled it with little candies and a tiny card to give as a thank you gift. I used a wheel to decorate the paper before I folded it.
You can use them as favors for a party of any kind, a place holder at a table with their name on it, hang it on the Christmas tree like an ornament with gift cards in it, send them as cute gifts for teachers, whatever you want!

The 'diaper fold' is the same as an origami cup...and soooooo simple! Attached is a Word doc on how to make one, complete with measurements and diagrams...

HTH!

Thanks nkowalk for your diagram of the diaper. It is much appreciated.
Happy stamping,
jogry/bali

I couldn't open the word document and the link to the example must be at the demo's only site because "no permission" popped up for me. But I found a tutorial for the origami cup here that looks just like the diaper fold technique that Nicole posted: [url]http://www.netguides.org.uk/guides/origami/Cup.html[url]

Oops! I forgot the slash to make it a clickable link!

Diaper-Fold Cards - Completed Project Picture

I am a preschool director and I made some of these to give to my teachers when they returned from a week off from school.

I used "Crayon Kids" to stamp on the cardstock and then filled them with plastic bags filled with chocolate (or any teacher's favorite!) candy.

I used a "stampin dimensional" foam piece under the piece that folds down in the front to hold it all together. I then put another dimensional underneath the girl that I stamped on the front to make her stand out.

Easy, easy, easy to do! My teachers LOVED these!

You can see a picture of my completed project in my gallery... but I don't know how to insert a link to get you there! Sorry -- I'm new to SCS!
