Question Dazzling Diamonds versus Iredescent Ice

I have a new customer to the family of Stampin Up who wants to replicate the Iredescent Ice look on a card but is not wanting to make the investment of a heat gun. Is there any way she can stamp the image and get the same effect without using a heat gun and Iredescent Ice? I do know that DD will not stick to VersaMark.
She would like to stamp the image and add sparkle to the entire image as Iredescent Ice would.
Any suggestions?
TIA
Aldona

I'm not sure what Irridescent Ice is, but before I had a heat gun, I would use my iron for embossing. I would hold the paper with tweasers and place the back of the paper against the iron to melt the embossing powder, maybe that would work.

Default DD vs II

I've tried using liquid glue that dries clear, squeeze some out onto some scrap paper and then use a stamping sponge to sponge the glue all over the image and then quickly dust on your DD.

Hope this helps

Talking

I've used a heated clothes iron before and it worked well, as long as you don't get too close

This sounds like such a neat idea, could some one tell me where I could go to see what this card looks like? I am very new and searcnig for as many ideas as possible!
Thank you

Iridescent Ice is one of the SU! embossing powders.

I use tongs to hold paper face down over my toaster. It usually takes about 10-20 seconds to melt the embossing powder.
How about glitter glue to add glitter to the whole image?

How about running it through the Xyron? Then you can have the DD on the whole thing.

Default dazzling diamonds

I am going to say tell her to buy the dd and she will need two way glue but tell her to get the one with a writing tip(very fine) I use that one more than the others. If she has alot of area she wants to cover then tell her to just buy the heat gun(Micheals has 40% off coupones all the time), this may not make you a sale but she will remember that you weren't in it for just the money that helping a customer is your goal. After all SU has the best stamps and paper and ink of all so the other stuff they can get anywhere eles. Does that make sense?

Face up over the toaster works also. I used this method when I couldn't find my heat gun.
