Embossing buddy is a powder little bag. You rub it on your cardstock before you stamp and then put your embossing powder then heat it...after all done I use a soft cloth or kleenex to take off the residue. The powder helps from the embossing powder staying on your cardstock and you won't have little specks where you don't want them. I hope that's clear as mud.

I would ask for embossing powders in different colors, embossing gun, embossing tray, versa mark stuff like that. And don't forget the versamark embossing pen...it helps you have to fix a spot. Just dab it and put on embossing powder and reheat.

Hmmm as far as have to have things for embossing a gun and some basic colors my personal fave basic ones I seem to use frequently are silver, gold, white, black, and clear. The clear is neat because you can put it over colored ink and have it look as though it is that color. A versamark pad is also necessary. I tend to use either coffee filters or paper for underneath to catch the powder because my embossing trays seem to have static cling and are irritating to use. Just be forewarned once you start heat embossing you won't be able to stop. ;)

Default Embossing Buddy

Hi,
Does anyone know what the contents are in the Embossing Buddy?
It's the greatest little tool.
Thanks, Lorie [email protected]

Maybe cornstarch is in the embossing buddy. If not, I have heard that cornstarch will fit the same purpose.

No idea what's in the embossing buddy but talcum powder (baby powder) or cornstarch work fine. I have a huge tub of cheap baby powder on my craft desk to dip a cotton ball in and swipe over cardstock before embossing.

I have the same problem with my trays. I never thought of coffee filters. Thanks for a super idea.
