Default Stamping on velvet

I once saw something about making scarves with an embossed type image on velvet. The technique involved using large image stamps and an iron. Does anyone know where I could find instructions or a tutorial?
Thanks.

It is simple. Using a large stamped image place it face up (rubber up), place your velvet over the top of the image, flat side up (wrong side up) so the velvet touches the stamp, spritz with water the entire image and place iron on top of image while iron is on medium to high dry level. You will hear the sizzle and hold for 15-20 seconds or so, try a few times to know how long you need to press down. Do not shift the iron around too much, I lift up and then place back down, instead of rolling it over the top. I am sure there is a tutorial somewhere, but this is how I have done it...hth

I've done the velvet embossing and it really is neat. You do have to be careful to use the right type of velvet. You'll want to use the better quality velvet that has acetate/rayon, not nylon. If you go to Mary O'Neil's website--www.hotpotatoes.com, you can find more information. You can also get some project ideas from hgtv.com. Mary did several episodes on the Carol Duvall show. HTH
