Here is a list of uses for CE that I got off of SCS. I've even used CE to glue up bathroom tiles!! HTH!!

Thanks so much-really. My daughter and I just made beaded pens at a craft store demo. I wasn't pleased that after a week the beads still mushed around. We wanted to give it to the teacher, but not when the beads would come off! I just added the glaze and I'm hoping that does the trick!!

crystal effects

I have a stamp that features a camp fire. I put the crystal effects over the flames and used my heat gun to carefully get some bubbles. It added texture to the flames for an interesting effect.

Crystal effects

Is this the same as Crystal Lacquer? I see it mentioned often on this site. Where does one get it? Thanks.

Enjoy!!

Awesome, thanks for the list! I bought some of this a couple of months ago and keep finding new uses for it.

Thanks so much for the uses. I recently bought this and wasn't exactly sure why when it arrived - must've been a Monday too!!

Crystal Effects

Awesome!

I just purchased a new bottle. I found Crystal Effects to be great as a dimensional on the "Sweet Treats" set. I used it on the "ice cream sundae". It gave the "fudge" topping a really cool effect.

I can't wait to play it with Crystal Effects on more projects. Thanks for posting the list.

I've seen Crystal Effects used with gumdrop stamp (the accessory for the jar and the bag ...). A little bit of CE, then put microbeads on! Voila! A sugary gumdrop!

The most recent Papercrafts (with all the Mother's Day projects) has a section on using dimensional fluids (aka Crystal Effects). Some great project ideas in there! (Now to find a M's coupon and buy it!)

I used it the other day to put a stamp back together. The rubber came off the foam and I had CE close at hand. A little bit on the foam worked great. Just like super glue!

Crystal Effects??

Yes, Another question about crystal effects!! I had heard about making your own bubbles, to place on items, and the person told me to use wire to make whatever size circle you wanted and fill it with CE. Wouldn't the wire stick to the CE? I don't want wire around my bubble!! Any idea's? I really want to try this but not sure of the wire thing!!! Allsa

Ruth Gray 04-01-2005 06:45 AM

Hi there

I guess if you don't want the wire around your bubble you could try to 'free hand' it. Seems it would be relatively easy to make a puddle round. Give it a try.
