Cricut question
 

Hello! I hope someone out there can answer this question for me.

When you use the Cricut cutting machine to cut out words and other narrow pieces what can be used to adhere the product to the paper? On the Crocut commercials the demonstrator used tiny glue dots on a strip about 2-3 inches wide and said the glue dots are sold everywhere. I can not find them anywhere. Maybe I just need the name of the product so I can Google it. I emailed Cricut but they have not returned my email.

The glue dots can be found at Joann's, Walmart etc. They come in either a box or pouch. You can also use a glue pen.

I run "delicate" (think thin!) things through my xyron. Dots are great for many things, but not so much for getting all of the delicate pieces stickied!

Xyron or you can use a fine tip Zig two way glue pen!

Sorry to hijack, but when I run my letters through the Xyron, I get little bits of sticky on the outsides of the letters after securing to the page (hope that makes sense) what do you do to remove the sticky? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

If you have one of those advesive erasers that helps if not gently rub over the sticky to get it off. I have the same problem.

yep...the square adhesive erasers work good you can find them at pretty much any LSS or HL or M's. Also, I have used a pencil eraser the kind on my mechanical pencils and that works good too.

If I know I am making alot of tiny things or letters, I run my paper through my xyron first ( I have the large one),,,,then put it paper side down and cut everything in reverse then you already have adhesive on the item.

After you run the letters through Xyron, rub that sheet around the letter very well, You can even use a rub on applicator and then remove the letter, I have found out that this will not leave that ugly glue residue around the letters. I mean make sure you rub around the edges where you would normally find the residue and on the letter too, before peeling the thin film off.

I use the SAkura Quickie glue pen on delicate lettering. I really like this product.

I fell in love with the glue pen the first time I used it. I think it is great on teeny-tiny dots/hearts....

I take my embossing stylus and go around the cut cut image (on the back side not the plastic sheet side) - this presses the sticky on to the plastic that is on top. I don't have near the problem with sticky on the outsides of my cut pieces as I used to. I also use the Adhesive Remover eraser on some things but prefer to use the embossing stylus.

I have done this also - eliminates the sticky around your pieces! You then don't have to hassle with trying to remove the sticky!

Hey there it is called "Glue lines" by the "Glue dots Brand Adhesives company" I buy it from Micheals craft store , comes in all widths , Great for the Cricut !!! hope this helps
