Copic/highlighting~halos

Ok ladies~~
I want to take and put a "halo" around a stamped image. I'd love to have tips/tricks to do this successfully.

I'd love to see what you've done and please tell me what colors you used to achieve it.

Thanks much,
Ginger

I've used C1, W1, T1. All three work great, but my favorite lately has been T1. I choose based on the tones of what I am coloring. Blues/grays = C1, browns/yellows=W1, and T1, IMHO, is an all around generic halo for warm or cool color schemes and is a little more subtle.

I looked at your gallery and your work is beautiful!

Thanks for the info. regarding your color choices. That will help a lot.

When you create the halo's are you blending them with the blender or just outlining your image?

TIA,
Ginger

Awww . . . thank you for your kind words. Your little house mouse is pretty darn cute, too. I usually do not use the blender at all. Mostly because I'm not very good at manipulating it. I just draw a line around the outside of my image. I also use T1 for shading. In other words, I add T1 to my colored image on the side away from where my imaginary sun is shining. KWIM? If not, I'd be happy to elaborate more if my description isn't very clear. Hope this helps!

Thanks much for your kind words in regards to my card. I have been spending my time coloring and learning how to use the Copics. So, now I have quite a few colored images and need to put them on cards!!

At this point I'm no going to work on the haloing and then probably try to put some cards together.....

Thanks for the tips!
Ginger
