Copic airbrush!!

I'm so excited! My Copic airbrush machine arrived today. I've been certified since July of 2008 and decided to wait to get into airbrushing.

Oh, which one did I get? I bought the Sparmax Windstorm with the auto shut-off! I bought it from Oozak.

I know somewhere I read that I should do this in a well ventilated area. Is that true? Where do you use yours?

Any tips that anyone has please share. It has been ages since I've used one.

Ginger, congratulations on getting your compressor and ABS unit! You are going to love it!

When using the compressor with Copic markers, you do not have to worry about fumes or smells. Copic markers are non-toxic and low odor, so there is no need for extra ventilation.

Thanks much Colleen! I thought I didn't need to worry about fumes. I looked for my 2008 notes from Marianne last night and at this point I couldn't find them.

I love, love, love the size of the unit. It is so dang small it is easy to put under my desk when I work.

Would there be any reason that I need back-up parts for the unit? If so, which ones do you recommend? I hate to have a problem and not be able to work with it.

You are going to love that compressor. I keep mine inside of the bottom desk drawer of my stamp table. I love that it's perfectly at home there. The cord easily reaches to my workspace, so I never move it. I'm not Colleen, but I'll answer your question about spare parts...I have had my personal compressor for 3 or 4 years and I frequently travel with one for classes. I have never needed spare parts. They are pretty durable.

I have this compressor for my Copics and love it, too. A word of caution: the first time I set it up and used it, I had it on my desk and it vibrated while I was airbrushing and 'walked' right off of the top of my desk and onto the floor - it must be well built because it was just fine even after that tumble. Now I keep mine on the carpeted floor and it doesn't move at all LOL.

Oh gosh, thanks for the "keep it on the floor" tip. I would of freaked!
