Coloring on acetate
Hi,
I stamped some flowers with stems on acetate, with Staz On black. I let it sit for a bit then was coloring with a Sharpie, and it smeared the black. What did I do wrong? I thought Sharpies were OK. Can anyone tell me what is good to clor acetate with? Thanks, Cindy |
Try turning the acetate over & coloring the image on the opposite side from the one you stamped on.

Thanks. That's a great and obvious idea! What have you colored with? Sharpies?

I made the same mistake once, and then i figured it out, you stamp with staz on turn it over and then color with sharpies and it works great! good luck |
Galaxy markers work too- on the same side as the staz on

just did a card last evening & used Luminiere (sp?) paints on the reverse side of the stamping---takes a while to dry but it's a great technique

Polished Pigments are great too
I just made an acetate card for our annual holiday swap and used stayz on for the front and then painted the back with Primary Elements Polished Pigments with their Simple Solution #2. The important thing is there was shimmer, depth, and it adhered to the acetate. They were a dream to use.

If you stamp with Staz on then flip it over you can color with the watercolor crayons directly on the window sheet without adding water and it makes a nice effect too.

Hi,
Wow. Those are all great ideas! I don't have most of the stuff you all do, but I do have the crayons, so I'll try that and keep an eye out for deals on the rest. Does anyone have any nice gallery samples of acetate? Mine was really SIMPLE.... Cindy |
