colorbooking

EVERY time I come to SCS & look in the gallery I see someone talking
about another new-to-me technique! The latest is colorbooking. So
what's up with that one? How is that done?

Wow. I've never heard of "colorbooking" either. Could you post a link to where you saw this technique?

The only thing I have heard of that is even close to this word is colorblocking ...

Can't wait to hear more! :D

It might could have been colorblocking, not positive, but I thought it
said colorbooking. And sorry, I can't even tell you a link. I was looking
@ Nostalgia & Friendship is a Journey galleries.

I did a search on "colorbooking" in the galleries, and I saw the Nostalgia/Friendship card you're talking about. I have no idea what colorbooking refers to in that sample. And if they meant "colorblocking," well, that doesn't look like what I think of as colorblocking.

I know what "colorblocking" is, but I can't think of a good way to describe it. Deluxe Designs makes a series of scrapbooking and card-making templates for colorblocking. The templates divide up the area of the card/layout into squares and rectangles to be used for photos or embellishments(or stamped images, in cards). Here's an example of a color blocked card:

But that nostalgia/friendship card doesn't look anything like colorblocking, so I wonder if "colorbooking" is something different...? Not sure...

I just went to Friend/Nostalgia card in the gallery as well. Based on the fact that there was the game next to it with the pieces colored in, I think this may refer to something 'simple'...like coloring like in a color book. It's one of the very first techniques I learned when I learned to stamp 15 years ago. Think with all the coloring mediums there are today, it must be making a 'come back'.

Yes, it just means coloring in - like in a coloring book! :)
